Tips on Outsourcing Software Development

Where should I outsource software development?

It really doesn’t matter about the time zone. It really doesn’t matter if they’re based in Europe or Asia. What’s important is that you trust them that they’re reliable.

You’re involving somebody as a business partner. You can’t think of them as outsourced. You need to think of them as temporary employees, temporary business partners. They’re going to learn about your business. They’re going to have access to sensitive data a lot of the time.

Find a software development partner that you can trust

So, the most important thing that I would encourage you to do is not worry about their location, not worry about time zones.

There are lots of tools like Jira and Trello and Slack that make it possible to monitor on a day-by-day basis the work that’s being performed, quality of the work, and how it measures against your expectations in terms of delivery milestones, and costs, etc.

What’s far more important is that you focus on finding partners you trust.
